Marcus Trotter to Badger football 2013

As we inch closer to Independence day we continue on our coundown and are now into the 50's in terms of days to go!! I have a feeling if you are reading this you are about as anxious as we are here to get this season underway. That said it's time to celebrate…. As we're just Marcus Trotter to Badger football 2013!!

Story So Far at Wisconsin:

– He has been named Academic All-Big Ten both seasons he's been eligible for the award (2011, 2012)
– Played in 9 career games, recording 9 career tackles in his first two years after redshirting in 2010.
– Recorded two tackles in the Big Ten championship game against Nebraska this past season.
– Marcus is majoring in zoology.

History of No. 59 at Wisconsin:

Mario Pacetti (OL, 1932-34): Was a member of the 1932 team that went 6-1-1 and according to most historians is easily the best offensive lineman the Badgers had in the 1930's. Pacetti's life after playing at Wisconsin is a sad tale as he committed suicide shortly after the 1934 season just before receiving word that he would be accpected to West Point (the United State Military Academy). You can read more on the tragic story here.
